After 3 years of learning karate, we are now purple belts. We've worked hard and learned many self-defense moves and powerful offensive ones as well. Karate has helped us become stronger, braver, and more focused. We are excited to keep training and earn our next belt.

Every Monday and Wednesday, we spend an hour at a gym in Mansfield to stay active and build strength. We start with a warm-up, then do either core exercises that strengthen our abs and back, or cardio and strength training, using machines and weights. These sessions help improve our body, energy, and focus.

Shishubarathi is a Sunday school dedicated to teaching Indian culture and different languages. It's for grades kindergarten to 8th. We learn how to fluently read and write in Telugu, our native language, and everything about our country, from states and capitals to its rich history.

For a week, I spent time learning about the format of a debate competition. My instructors taught me what exactly I needed and how much time I should spend talking about each section. The week ended with a debate tournament that lasted three rounds. When our cometitors' made their case, my partner and I took notes and asked relevant questions. For our turn, we supported our findings through research and insights.

I went to a medical camp hosted by Boston Leadership Institute for a week, where I learned the basics of medicine. It made me excited about the medical field and helped me decide that I wanted to persue a career as an ER doctor. We learned about the different systems in the body, how to do a check-up, how to stitch, and we even got to dissect a sheep's brain. This real-world application of my sience classes helped me understand what to look forward in high school, college, and beyond.
